Group Classes

Our group classes are part of Adult Education programs in the towns of Acton and Lexington (Minuteman Tech) and the Belmont Senior Center. They may also take place in greenhouses or offsite at a retreat setting. Most of our group classes take place from 6:30 to 9:00 pm but if you or your group would like us to be available for a day session, we can accomodate you as well.

Delicious Healthy Drinks & Super Satisfying Smoothies 1 class Fee: $15 + $4 material fee

Learn to combine vegetables, fruits, and super-foods into delicious and satisfying drinks for an optimal start to your day or a mid afternoon pick me up. This class includes demonstrations and taste tastings of cleansing hydrating recipes that are designed to boost energy and enhance your immune system. Plan to leave this class with healthy ideas and recipes that you can do at home on a budget.

Intro to Whole Foods 4 part class Fee: $99 + $20 material fee

This 4 week hands on class includes lecture, instructional materials, demos and tastings. My goal is to work with you to help you learn about the ingredients in your food and what you should and should not put into your body to be at your best. By incorporating a few changes into your diet, you will boost your immunity, have more energy, and manage your weight better. Week 1 will examine the science behind the food you are eating and the food you could be eating. We will learn how to increase the amount of nutrient dense foods into your daily menu using sea vegetables, nut milks, ingredients high in omega 3 and plant based protein in our recipes. Week 2 will continue with this theme encourging powerful and sustainable food choices that directly and positively impact your health. We will explore healthy alternatives to sugar, high fructose corn syrup, vinegar, gluten and other processed foods and learn recipes that are more than satisfactory as replacements to these ingredients. The good fats, coconut and avocado for example, will be discussed and incorporated into our recipes We will review the kitchen items that are recommended and in some cases essential to good healthy recipes. Week 3 will focus on sprouting seeds, nuts and grains. Learn how to grow these life giving foods in your own home using various methods including jars, bags, and trays. We will discuss seed selection, growing equipment (trays, soils, etc), as well as the history and nutritional benefits of this superfood. We will enjoy a super green garden sprouted salad. Week 4 will focus on more advanced recipes using dehydration and juicing equipment. Recipes could include granola, fruit leather, dried fruit snacks, crackers, and kale chips. All recipes are Gluten Free, Dairy Free, Organic or Wild Harvested

Find out about the health benefits of what has traditionally been considered weeds such as dandelions, chickweed and even seaweed, and how you can use these ingredients to jazz up your dishes. We will use fresh, organic, wild harvested ingredients in this class to make simple, healthy, and delicious recipes.


Individual One-on-One Sessions

Individual classes are hands on and take place in the convenience of your own home. We are located in Boxborough, MA and will drive up to 20 miles to your location. For those of you over our 20 mile radius, an additional fuel charge will be agreed upon. We have several packages to choose from - we will call you once you register to set up convenient dates and times. An additional $10 material fee will be due at each session.

Intro to Food Preservation using the methods of Dehydration and Fermentation. Handouts are included as well as dehydrated and fermented samples in ball jar containers.
Combo: Raw Food & Fitness 4 sessions $260
Learn how to eat for optimum health - plan, buy and prepare Whole and Raw Foods. Learn about tastes, menu planning, dehydrating, sprouting, and knife skills. You help design the fitness component which can include Fitness Walking, Body Rolling, Resistance Work, Yoga, and more. Includes resource materials, recipes, samples, sprouting kit and resistance band.
Raw in Training - Recipe Development 6 sessions $372
Series includes Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Appetizers, Soups, and Desserts. Get hands-on experience preparing smoothies, juices, soups, sauces, dressings, fermented cheeses, dips, entrees, and desserts. Learn the science of raw foods. Complete with recipes specific to each session as well as resource materials, nut milk bag, and sprouting kit.
